Awin

Getting back in, without a dodge

A closed Awin account stays closed. What you can do is apply again, properly, with this site as the thing you show them.

1

Do not try to reopen the old account

Awin’s own help centre says a closed account cannot be reopened. A new publisher account has to use an email address that has never been used with Awin.

2

Point them at a live site

The application asks for a promotional space: a website, social account or newsletter. Use the address of this site once it is on your domain. In the description, say it is an original UK home and lifestyle edit, with disclosed affiliate links and a new drop every two weeks. Sectors: home and garden, lifestyle.

3

Tell the truth on the form

You need to be 18, or have authority to apply for a business. Promotional type and region should match what you actually do. Incomplete forms get a manual look, which is slower.

4

Paste the new publisher ID here

When you are approved, open Studio, then Retailers, and paste the publisher ID. Add each retailer’s Awin MID only from your own account. The shop buttons start tracking at that point. Apply to programmes you will really feature. The Range and Dunelm can still say no.

Read Awin’s pages rather than a blog rewrite of them: how to join as a publisher, what they ask for, and why a closed account cannot be reopened. The publisher overview is on awin.com.
